The great thing about gymnastics is that there is always a way to remain involved with the sport! At your age there are recreational classes, club team and high school teams that you could potentially be involved with. A ton of colleges have club (NAIGC) gymnastics teams that compete for fun and are usually open to anyone regardless of skill level or experience. Adult gymnastics classes for people 18+ are becoming really popular and I know gyms all over the country are starting to offer them. And of course, you can always get into coaching or judging. I’m 26 now and I competed in club and NCAA until I was 19 and continued in the sport after that as a coach and a judge. I have a full time career now but still find time to coach and judge and stay involved with the sport that I love, so don’t worry too much. If you want to, there are a lot of ways to keep gymnastics a part of your life.
