I really don't want Shawn or Nastia to make the 2012 team. I think they've had their moment and should let the other gymnasts shine. I want Chellsie and Alicia to make it however, because I want them to get the Olympic gold medal they deserve.
AnonymousI agree with you re: Shawn and Nastia. I don’t particularly want Chellsie on the team. I admire her tenacity but her gymnastics is not aesthetically pleasing at all to me and I’d bet a lot of money that she’d get injured in podium training or prelims if she made the team, and then we’d be in trouble. Her body is just not reliable, no matter how mentally tough she is. She needs to retire and take care of her body.

I think we need Nastia for bars. Russia is great on bars and if she’s good enough on bars again I think she should be on the team. Although she didn’t give herself much time to train.
